This is the final encounter scene which shows all my characters in the picture. The picture shows the main character and his companion staring at the mountain whilst the alien lurks over them in anticipation. Overall I am pretty happy with this painting because I think the shadows at the front give the paining some depth and I especially like the background painting. I originally encountered some problems with the cloudy sky but I managed to overcome this by looking at and replicating real life images of cloudy skies. If i was to do this painting again I would take more time on the characters and use better proportions and details.

Encounter scene painting
This is the final encounter scene which shows all my characters in the picture. Alien Character Final
This is the design of the Alien in my trio of characters and I have decided to go along the lines of a mysterious figure called a 'Lurker'. I am not too happy with the facial design on this character mainly because I think the top of the head could have been developed better but I do like how the eyes have turned out. I also like the body features on this design with the alien-like crystals sticking out the flesh because it shows the infectious disease taking over its body.
Side Character Final
Niho is the companion to the player character and like my main character I have also gone with a similar design. I have added a fur pattern to make the body more realistic and touched up some of the limbs. Overall I am happy with this design too but if i was to do it again I would change the facial features to be a bit more realistic and maybe add some more armour or accessories to make him more unique.
Main Character Final
Here is the Final concept version of my main character. I have given my character a description and some backstory along with some stats that correlate to my other characters as well. Overall I am pretty happy with my characters design although if i was to create my character again I would go with a different theme as I think some of the weapons and armour are illogical and clash too much even with the backstory.
Egyptian Tomb Final - Treasury
This is the final room in my tomb which is the Treasury. The treasury is where the person that has been buried holds their most valuable possessions which is why I created a secret entrance to access it. When the secret door is opened it reveals three pots and some golden back lighting which I really like because it makes the room seem pretty mysterious.
Egyptian Tomb Final - Burial Chamber
This is the Burial Chamber which is the main room which contains the person who was buried here. I really like the the texture on the walls because the normal map works really well with the Egyptian patterns. I have also modeled a sarcophagus that occupies the centre of the room and is the main focus point of the level. I also like the contrast between the lighting in the Antechamber and the darker lighting in the Burial Chamber.
Egyptian Tomb Final - Antechamber
This is the first room in the tomb called the Antechamber. This room contains pillars which I modeled that attach from the floor to the ceiling and also different groups of pots which I created. This room also contains the elevator that takes the player down to the Burial chamber.
Egyptian Tomb Final - Entrance
Here is the Entrance that leads into the tomb, I have used basic columns along the walls to give the room some depth and added models of torches on the wall that work well with the fire tool in Unreal. Originally I wanted to have mummy style statues along the wall but this proved too difficult and time consuming so I had to scrap it in place of the regular columns. I like the way the stairs that lead down go darker towards the bottom and lead to the entrance of the tomb.

Side Character Design #1
Here is the first design of my side character companion. I've gone with the sabre-tooth tiger because its a very traditional partner to the caveman style character. The tubes on his body enhance oxygen levels in his blood flow to allow him to run, jump and fight at peak condition all the time.
Character Design #1
Here is the first concept design for my main character. The character is based on a caveman style hunter who also has access to future technology such as the compound bow etc. This is because human civilization had to restart after the aliens took control.
Environment painting #1
Here is some Environment painting our class has been working on. This piece was a good practice of grasping different techniques like layers, fog and creating an atmosphere in the painting. This will prove useful when it comes to designing a background for the final scene of my character design.

Character Silhouettes #1
These are the first of my character silhouettes and also the first time using a real graphics tablet for drawing. My character is based on a sci-fi primal theme with stone age weapons and equipment. The top image shows some clothing designs my character my have and also some weapons he might carry. The image below is some designs of the characters 'sidekick', these drawings are based on a sabre-tooth tiger but to get the futuristic twist I have added some robotic type parts on some of the designs to create a kind of cybernetic tiger.
